James O'Halloran
James' background includes working for a leading aerospace company as a consultant to the Ministry of Defence on the Defence Intelligence Staff as a weapons systems engineer from June 1984 through to December 1998. This work involved the design and analysis of guided weapon systems and the associated equipment, including related weapon control radars, communications and system simulators.

Prior to joining the Ministry of Defence, he served in the Royal Navy for over 20 years within the Communications and Electronic Warfare branch. His naval career included shore time spent at the Government Communications Headquarters in Cheltenham and time at the Ministry of Defence in Naval Intelligence. Sea time was spent on various ships of the fleet, including Royal Fleet Auxiliaries and four years as the operational Chief of the Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group, a group of individual experts available at a moment's notice to go anywhere in the world where their particular skills could be used to forward the aims of Her Majesty's Government.

Christopher F Foss
Christopher is the editor of Jane's Land Warfare Platforms: Armoured Fighting Vehicles and co-editor of Jane's Land Warfare Platforms: Artillery & Air Defence, Jane's Land Warfare Platforms: Logistics, Support & Unmanned, and Jane's Land Warfare Platforms: System Upgrades; he also acts as IHS Jane's Land Consultant.

Christopher began his association with IHS Jane's as early as 1970, when he began writing for Jane's Weapon Systems. Since 1979 he has acted as a self-employed contractor with the company and a number of other organizations throughout the world. His achievements have included conceiving and editing Jane's Defence Review, the first magazine ever produced by Jane's Information Group, and proposing and creating Jane's Missiles and Rockets.

He has written numerous books relating to armored vehicles and weapons systems both for IHS and for other publishers. He has also lectured in a number of countries, chaired many conferences and acted as a defense consultant for numerous private sector contractors and government agencies.
