Jane's ATC Awards 2013: your chance to nominate
9/4/2012
For the 13th year in succession, IHS Jane's Airport Review invites readers to promote achievements in air traffic control (ATC) and air traffic management (ATM), for an awards ceremony in Madrid on 11 February 2013, held once again in co-operation with the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) during the World ATM Congress.
The 2012 Jane's ATC Awards recognised and rewarded excellence in ATC and ATM from a field of almost 40 nominees around the world. Winners included the Airports Authority of India, NATS, Eurocontrol, Airbus, the Noracon group of ANSPs, Airways New Zealand, ATRiCS and Northrop Grumman Airport Systems.
For the 2013 edition of these prestigious awards we would like you to contribute by submitting your nominations over the next few weeks.
Which projects do you think have been most significant in terms of improving safety, capacity and efficiency?
Nominations are free and open to companies involved in all areas of the ATC industry, whether they are national air navigation service providers, large-scale industry partnerships or new entrants to the sector.
The awards celebrate improvements to ATC and airspace management during the past 12 months across seven categories that are key to the future of the industry:
Environment to recognise work on 'green' air traffic management concepts;
Enabling Technology for contribution to enhanced capacity and safety;
Service Provision for contribution to safe and efficient airspace management;
Industry reflecting a significant contribution by equipment suppliers;
Innovation for small enterprises that have raised ATM performance;
Contribution to European ATM for enhanced European operations; and
Runway Safety recognising efforts to improve safety on or near the runway.
Nominations will be assessed by a panel of experienced judges from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Eurocontrol, CANSO, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and IHS Jane's. Winners will be selected from a shortlist and announced during the event in Madrid.
