Saab announced during the Farnborough Air Show that the first CAMPS-100 civil aircraft missile protection system is due for delivery by the end of 2008 to South African air charter company Naturelink.
As such, CAMPS-100 will become the first anti-manportable air defence system (MANPADS) to be authorised for civilian aircraft once the European Aviation Safety Agency completes the certification process.
The system has been developed by a partnership of Saab Avitronics, Saab Aerotech and UK countermeasures specialist Chemring. 79 of 224 words
