OFFICERS have been falling asleep at work, while stationary in patrol cars and at petrol stations in the capital, a survey of Met inspectors has shown.
One officer fell asleep while on the phone, some officers opted for naps in the canteen, while others have nodded off in cars while waiting at traffic lights.
The stories are revealed in a study of 227 uniform inspectors from 32 London boroughs carried out by the inspectors' branch of the Met Police Federation.
