Breaching protocol - the threat of cyberespionage

In January 2010 Google Inc., the world's largest internet search engine provider, caused a major international incident. David Drummond, Google's senior vice-president for corporate development, suggested on 12 January that the company might close its service in China: google.cn. Citing a persistent campaign of cyberattacks against its networks and the communications of Chinese human rights activists reliant upon them, it reopened debate over China's actions in cyberspace, particularly regarding cyberespionage.
