BCB International has unveiled a new Wall-Breaching System (WBS) to compete with the Harvey Wall Banger (HWB) as an alternative to high-explosive method of entry operations.
BCB's system, designed to punch through walls, ceilings and doors, has already been procured by Polish and French special operations forces (SOF) and has been demonstrated to various agencies within the US Department of Homeland Security.
Polish and French SOF units, including GROM (Operational Mobile Reaction Group) have taken delivery of more than 10 systems each and are understood to be using them on operations in Afghanistan.
Firing a standard 20.2 kg water container at 200 psi, WBS is capable of blasting 'man-sized' holes through double-skinned concrete block walls, according to BCB. The system's working pressure can also be boosted up to 1,000 psi with a range greater than 300 m.
