Awards success for Britain's best bobbies

AN INSPECTOR who tackled sectarian violence in Northern Ireland, a team working to dispel myths about Islam and a cop with 37 years' experience who decorates his police station every Christmas are among the winners in this year's Jane's Police Review Gala Awards.
Around 700 guests attended the awards, held in London last night (Thursday), where police officers and staff from 48 forces across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland were nominated.
