IHS Jane's Quarterly Customer Newsletter

Last quarter I announced that IHS had launched a new website, and this quarter I'm pleased to be able to say that our online delivery continues to evolve. The IHS Jane's team is busy converting all of our defence equipment and technology data into a structured xml format, which will make it much easier for you to work with and to manipulate the intelligence that we provide. With thousands of records and articles in our databases this really is an enormous task, so I'm very happy to be able to inform you that all of our Land Platform data has now been converted, giving users far greater consistency and much improved data comparison capabilities.

Cyber warfare is prominent this quarter, with a series of online seminars on the subject and the launch of Jane's DS Forecast's new Cyber Operations market accompanying the more than a hundred articles on the subject that have appeared in Jane's publications this year. I think this really highlights the commitment of our editors, correspondents and analysts to bringing you news, insight and analysis on the issues that are at the forefront of global defence and security.
