Jane’s 2008 United States Defense Conference – 22 April
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 16, 2008) -- Top defense specialists will analyze the current situations facing the industry across the world and the next U.S. administration at the Jane’s 2008 U.S. Defense Conference in Washington, D.C., on April 22. With a decline in defense expenditure expected by many analysts or the possibility of a change in the dynamics of spending, the opening session will debate these ideas and examine the lessons for the future that will stem from this decade.
Scott C Key, Chief Operating Officer for Jane’s Information Group, commented, “As the scope of national and global security and defense continues to shift in response to a rapidly evolving global environment, Jane's sees a great opportunity to evaluate the lessons from the post 9/11 period, and to bring leading analysts together to provide insight into the security future. We are specifically focused on how the future geopolitical landscape will impact future budgetary focus and spending levels globally, as well as the priorities of the next U.S. administration.”
