Jane’s Defence Weekly appoints Sebastian Schulte as German correspondent
London , 8 January 2008 - Sebastian Schulte has been named as the German correspondent of Jane’s Defence Weekly. Schulte will cover the German armed forces and defence industry and will also write for other Jane’s publications as and when needed.
He is picking up from his father, Heinz Schulte, who was Jane’s first German correspondent in the mid-1990s.
Based in the former German capital, Bonn, Sebastian Schulte is a former Officer (Reserve) and Lieutenant at Sea in the German Navy and has a background in defence reporting. He is studying political science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn .
Jane’s Defence Weekly editor Peter Felstead said: “ Jane’s Defence Weekly’s coverage of German defence affairs, especially on the land side, has always been an area of focus, but there's really no substitute for having a man in-country for the kind of in-depth, exclusive coverage to which Jane's as a whole aspires.”
