Double win for Jane's International Defence Review at Paris Air Show

Jane’s has triumphed in the 2007 Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards receiving two awards for outstanding editorial in Jane’s International Defence Review (IDR) and the top award of the evening, the prestigious RAeS Decade of Excellence Award.

Nick Brown, editor of Jane’s International Defence Review, said “We are honoured to have received these prestigious awards among such tough competition” adding “it is testament to IDR’s in-depth analysis and constant drive to deliver news and reporting that is world class. These two awards completely recognise that.”

The award-winning articles were UCAVs offer fast track to stealth, long-range and carrier operations, looking at the benefits to European countries of advanced UCAV capability at bargain prices compared to manned systems; and Satellite micro-revolution offers the potential for broader vision, which considered the capability of small technologically sophisticated satellites providing increasingly rapid and accurate information.
