Nominations open for ATC Global Awards 2010

By Ben Vogel

13 October 2009

Jane’s Airport Review will hold its annual ATC Global Awards in Amsterdam on 9 March 2010, enabling the air traffic control and air traffic management communities to recognise industry achievements over the last year.

The annual awards, now in their tenth year, highlight vital moves towards safer, environmentally friendlier skies and enhanced capacity, and allow you to contribute by nominating the most significant projects.

We would like you to nominate your entries over the next few weeks to be considered for these prestigious awards. Which projects do you think have raised performance in terms of safety, capacity and efficiency?

Nominations are open to companies involved in all areas of the ATC industry, whether they are national air navigation service providers, large-scale partnerships or new entrants to the sector.

The award categories for 2010 are:

Environment – a new category to recognise work on ‘green’ air traffic management concepts

Enabling Technology – for contribution to enhanced capacity and safety

Industry – reflecting a significant contribution by equipment suppliers

Development – for small enterprises which have raised ATM performance

Service Provision – for contribution to safe and efficient airspace management

Future Systems – for the development of future solutions

Contribution to European ATM

Nominations will be assessed by a panel of experienced judges from the FAA, ICAO, CANSO, IATA and Jane's Information Group. Winners will be selected from a shortlist and announced during the ATC Global 2010 exhibition.

The ceremony is free to attend.

You can submit your nominations for the 2009 awards after filling in this form. We welcome accompanying pictures or video clips.

The deadline for nominations is 21 December 2009. Completed forms can be emailed to jar@janes.com or posted to Jane's Airport Review, 163 Brighton Road, Coulsdon, Surrey CR5 2YH, UK.
