TERRORIST suspects subject to control orders have cost the Home Office more than £650,000 since 2005, according to figures obtained by the Conservative Party.
The sum equates to £120 a week for each of the 24 suspects currently subject to the orders, which are a form of house arrest without trial.
The money is almost double the maximum weekly rate of jobseekers' allowance, is provided by the Home Office and goes towards paying the suspects' council tax, rent, utility and phone bills.
