NSM on target in end-to-end test

Norway's Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) and Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace (KDA) have completed a first end-to-end test of the Nytt Sjømålsmissile/Naval Strike Missile (NSM) anti-ship cruise missile.
The test, at the US Naval Air Weapons Center Weapons Division Point Mugu range in California on 31 January, culminated in the missile impacting a target ship and effecting a live warhead detonation.
NSM is a new-generation surface-to-surface guided weapon developed to meet the Royal Norwegian Navy's (RNoN's) requirement for a highly discriminative anti-ship missile able to penetrate shipboard defences and operate effectively in blue water and littoral environments.
Capable of ranges up to 200 km, it is a stealthy and highly maneuverable weapon combining GPS-aided midcourse guidance with an advanced dual-band imaging infrared seeker.
