Jane’s Underwater Security Systems & Technology

All the latest data on vehicles, systems, sensors and instruments that enable the exploration, survey and management of the oceans. No other resource has the depth of coverage and range of underwater technologies. Its accent on AUV technology brings it in line with current technology and funding swings.

Content Structure
Jane’s Underwater Security Systems and Technology is a one volume open source reference on underwater technologies and unmanned underwater systems for defence, marine security and commercial applications, including seabed survey, subsea surveillance and submarine rescue, complementing Jane’s Underwater Warfare Systems. In many cases these systems have dual use, for example military and civil applications, and many of the contractors routinely supply equipment to both military and commercial customers. Furthermore, the enabling technology has invariably been the result of collaborative research or technology transfer between the military, commercial and marine science sectors.

Structure
This title is divided into six main sections which are detailed below. These main categories are divided into subsections covering related systems associated with a specific aspect or application of underwater technology.

Record Structure
The following main headings are used within each record.

Images
Photographs are provided for each equipment wherever possible. Line drawings and graphics are also provided in some cases. Images are annotated with a seven-digit number which uniquely identifies them in Jane’s image database.
