Content Structure
This product covers the full range of military vehicles in any way connected with the logistical effort of armed forces around the world, ranging from armoured engineer vehicles to mine warfare equipment, and from trucks to bridging systems.

Structure
This publication has been laid out in a series of principal sections grouped under main functional headings, each of which relates to a particular item of equipment or vehicle. The exact headings and groupings can be seen on the Contents page.

Record Structure
The following main headings are used within each record.

• Development
  Where applicable this heading covers the history of the development of a specified item of equipment up to the point where it entered service and, in some instances, details of any major development after entry into service.
• Description
  Under this heading a detailed technical description is given of each system, in so far as military and commercial confidentiality allows. Where equipments integrate with other equipment or systems, this is noted.
• Specifications
  Under this heading the main technical parameters of systems are listed, including length and weight, operating parameters (where available) and, in the case of weapons, destructive charge and so on.
• Status
  This lists the current status of the system - that is, under development, on order, undergoing trials and so on and where known, a note of the users of the equipment.
• Contractor
  Brief details of main contractor(s).

Images
Photographs are provided for each equipment wherever possible. Line drawings and graphics are also provided in some cases. Images are annotated with a seven digit number which uniquely identifies them in Jane’s image database.

Other Information
If any particular item of equipment or vehicle is needed, each heading is laid out in country order. In most cases the latest items are mentioned first, but when relating to vehicles, usually the payload weight order is followed, from the lightest up to the heaviest. If only a designation is available, the index should be consulted.
