Jane’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Targets

Jane’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Targets can help you keep in touch with the latest developments. With details of over 180 UAVs, 120 aerial targets and 240 subsystems, this authoritative resource is the most comprehensive of its kind. A full vehicle and target listing includes information on development, mission payloads, guidance and control, operational status, specifications, customers, and contractors together with photographs for impartial assessment and comparison. Each entry details the manufacturer, complete with contact information and the civil and military organisations using the aircraft, to help you monitor competitors and aid your procurement and market research.

More than 40 countries worldwide are currently developing and/or deploying UAV systems. Many more either produce or import aerial targets to train their air defence missile crews and artillery batteries.

The US budget for UAV’s exceeded one billion dollars for the first time for the financial year 2003 - and this is just the military market. Within a few years, they are expected to begin to realise their potential in the civil market too, for telecommunications, law enforcement, environmental patrol, and many other tasks where the presence of an on-board human pilot is not essential.
