Small arms first for UAE
Caracal International LLC (Stands CON 200 and A41) was launched yesterday as the first Emirate firm to specialise in small arms manufacture. Its first products, the F and C pistols, are on show, but, according to managing director Hamad Khalifa Al Neyadi, the company has ambitions to establish a highquality defence manufacturing industry in the UAE meeting world standards.
He also added that Caracal hopes to expand its activities in co-operation with the private sector to lay the foundations for a defence industry in the UAE and the Gulf region and plans to train UAE nationals to provide local employment. The Caracal pistols and accessories were designed by its research and development team, led by Wilhelm Bubits.
