VSIL leads Selex Galileo research

Selex Galileo (Stand E200a) has outfitted a British Army FV432 AFV with a wide range of advanced systems to highlight the company’s capability in the field of vehicle system integration.
Known as the Vehicle Systems Integration Laboratory (VSIL), the modified FV432 is being used as a demonstration and evaluation tool, using a scalable and open architecture to integrate a variety of state-of-the-art systems. Systems include self-defence, network enabling, surveillance/target acquisition and sniper detection.
The company has also created a Falco UAV BattleLab for a variety of UAV-related applications. It includes UAV and sensor simulators, synthetic environment and geographic database. It can be connected to a real or simulated ground control station, and to other simulation networks.
The BattleLab can be used for analysis of operational missions and new technologies, definition of systems requirements and for training. Selex Galileo has also signed an MoU with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, covering technology transfer and R&D partnerships in the fields of RF, EO, IR, laser and communications technologies.
