More punch for 2.75in rocket

Widely acknowledged to set the standard in its weapon class, the 70mm rocket system is derived from the venerable 2.75in rocket, which continues to evolve into greater effectiveness. Featured on the Nammo stand (J070a) is the new 70mm multipurpose penetrator (MPP), which will increase the lethality of Apache and other attack helicopters.
Declared to be a ‘spiral development’ from the legacy 2.75in RA79 penetrating warhead, the MPP has an improved penetration and insensitive munitions capability. Weighing some 6.22kg, the warhead has an impact velocity full penetration at 500 to
1,200 milliseconds.
The MPP warhead has been proven against several different types of target, including buildings, bunkers, heavy reinforced concrete targets and heavy timber targets and is considered to be especially well suited to urban warfare environments. Average delay of detonation is 5 milliseconds.
