Truvelo enables precision shooting

The long-range rifles from South African company Truvelo Manufacturers (South African Pavilion, Stand 537) were conceived and designed by engineers, who, for the past 25 years, have been involved in precision shooting. For that reason, says the company, all designs are bolt-action because automatic and semi-automatic rifles simply have an inherent lack of accuracy.

Its weapon designs, it states, “match space-age materials with classical lines”, adding that the success of the manufacturing of highly accurate barrels led to the development of sophisticated, precision, sniper rifle technology.

One of Truvelo’s latest product ranges is the Raptor. This family of weapons includes an assault rifle in calibre 5.56x45NATO with a 9in barrel, as well as the ubiquitous Russian calibre carbine with a standard 15in barrel and a support weapon with a heavy 22in barrel for special forces and urban terrorist fighting.

Truvelo has taken over the popular BXP (9mmP) Tactical pistol and has specialised the design. The BXP features high-quality Truvelo barrels in EN19 steel to ensure accuracy and is manufactured in semiautomatic form for security and automatic form for military use.

Truvelo Armoury entered the fire-arms market in 1970. The company currently fields anti-materiel rifles in four calibres: 12.7x99mm, 14.5x114mm, 20x82mm and 20x110mm. Anti-personnel rifles in 338Lapua, 300WMag and 7.62x51NATO are also available. The Neostead Pump Action 12 gauge Shotgun is a compact design retaining the long barrel length, designed for use by security and police teams from vehicles and confined spaces.
