The cooling sidewalls are line-replaceable units, so a swap-out is a simple process that can be carried out in the field. Three versions using different materials, protective coatings and connectors are available, enabling sea water, aviation fuel or CFCs, ammonia or various alcohols to be used as the cooling fluid. The patented High Integrity Frame design is typically 25% lighter than conventional dip-brazed constructions.
