Jane’s Transport Finance Awards 2007
6 December 2007, Merchant Taylors’ Hall, London
Jane’s Transport Finance will hold its Annual Gala Awards Dinner on 6 December 2007. As is customary, the event will be held at the historic and lovely Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the heart of London’s financial district.
It is ironic that the Awards, which recognise outstanding achievement and innovation in an increasingly challenging marketplace, should be held at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, or to give it the full name by which it is described in the Royal Charter of 1503, the Guild of Merchant Taylors of the Fraternity of St John Baptist in the City of London, one of the twelve great city livery companies surviving from mediaeval times.
As usual, the event will feature an internally recognised dinner speaker in addition to the formal awards presentation.
The event has grown through the years and is widely viewed as the most prestigious event heralding the successes of bankers, lawyers and other finance professionals throughout the year.
The transport sector has recently been buffeted by a series of events, including the increased cost of fuel, legislative changes and upheavals in addition to the global downturn following the cataclysmic events of 11 September 2001.
Despite this adversity, transport finance practitioners have weathered the storm and continue to provide the requisite means and expertise to keep aircraft flying, ships sailing, rails rolling and the infrastructure required to keep it all together.
This year will certainly be no exception.
We hope you will mark your calendars in anticipation of a lovely evening that will furnish an opportunity to meet friends and colleagues.
We at Jane’s look forward to seeing you on the evening of 6 December.
We have added a listing of 2006 Award winners and categories to this website.
With best personal regards,

Jim Smith, Editor, Jane's Transport Finance
