Judging Panel
The judging panel for the Community Police Officer of the Year, Student Officer of the Year, Community Support Officer and Lifetime Achievement Awards are drawn from the Association of Chief Police Officers, the Police Superintendents' Association, Police Federation of England and Wales, HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, The Association of Police Authorities, the National Policing Improvement Agency, the British Association for Women in Policing and the Editor of Jane's Police Review. The judges look for examples of excellent practice that have made a real difference to the lives of the communities that officers serve.

Diversity judging panel
The judges for the Diversity in Action Award are drawn from HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, ACPO, the British Association for Women in Policing and the Superintendents' Association.
Judges look for evidence of outstanding achievement or proven practice in the diversity field in delivering police services to communities with the emphasis clearly on operational outcomes.
