Christopher F Foss
Editor, Jane's Armour and Artillery
Christopher F Foss is the Editor of Jane's Armour and Artillery and Co-Editor of Jane's Armour and Artillery Upgrades, Jane's Land-Based Air Defence and Jane's Military Vehicles and Logistics; he is also the Land Consultant for Jane's Defence Weekly and Jane's International Defence Review.
Christopher began his association with Jane's as early as 1970, when he began writing for Jane's Weapon Systems. Since 1979 he has acted as a self-employed contractor with the company and with a number of other organisations and companies throughout the world. His achievements have included conceiving and editing Jane's Defence Review, the first magazine ever produced by Jane's Information Group, and proposing and launching Jane's Missiles and Rockets.
He has written numerous books relating to armoured vehicles and weapons systems both for Jane's and for other publishers. He has also lectured in a number of countries and has chaired many conferences.
Ben Goodlad
Researcher, Jane’s Defence Forecasts - Combat Vehicle Programmes
Ben Goodlad is an analyst with Jane’s Defence Forecasts – Combat Vehicle Programmes which provides up-to-date global insight on current and future vehicle procurement and upgrades. He also writes for Jane's Defence Weekly, Jane's International Defence Review and Jane's Defence Industry on vehicle procurement issues, particularly the US MRAP programme.
Previously Ben has worked with several Jane’s land systems editors, helping to produce Jane’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Jane’s Mine and Mine Clearance, Jane’s Ammunition Handbook and Jane’s Infantry Weapons. He has also provided analysis to the Jane’s Cluster Munitions study. Ben has an undergraduate degree in War Studies from Kings College, London, and has previously served with the UK Territorial Army, deployed on operations as part of an armoured infantry battlegroup to Iraq in 2003.

Editor-in-Chief, Jane’s International Defence Review
Nick Brown has been with IHS Jane’s since the beginning of 2001 and has held posts as features editor of Jane’s Defence Weekly, reporter and then editor of Jane’s Navy International and is now editor-in-chief of International Defence Review, the journal of defence technology and manager of the Jane’s Land Forces News Desk.
He launched a new global maritime magazine for Lloyd’s Register - Fairplay in January 2005, but returned to IHS Jane’s at the end of that year to take the post of editor of Jane’s Navy International, heading up the newly launched Maritime News Desk.
Nick has reported on defence-related issues from around the world, been quoted on radio and in the international press, and written for the UK Hydrographic Office, Monocle, Safety at Sea International and Fairplay, among others. He learnt to fly with the Royal Air Force and has a broad range of knowledge on defence issues.
Sara Morgan
Publisher, Defence Equipment and Technology and Transport
Sara Morgan is Jane’s Publisher for the Defence Equipment and Technology and Transport portfolios. This includes the iconic Jane’s Fighting Ships and All the World’s Aircraft on the reference side, as well as International Defence Review, Navy International, Missiles and Rockets and Airport Review on the news side.
Sara graduated from Warwick University with a BA in English and European Literature and has pursued a career in business to business publishing over a number of years managing both product development and editorial functions at a senior level in Wolters Kluwer and latterly at Jane’s Information Group. At Jane’s Sara has recently spearheaded the launch of Jane’s Unmanned Ground Vehicles in a range of formats, which now forms part of the tripartite Unmanned Systems desk.
