Programme
When compared to their tracked counterparts, wheeled combat vehicles offer a number of significant advantages including greater strategic mobility and lower operating and support costs.
The main thrust of this Webinar will cover not only 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 wheeled combat vehicles and their increasing number of roles but also Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. These have recently been fielded in large numbers as a result of operational experience in Iraq and more recently Afghanistan. In addition, it will also cover additional emerging requirements for protected mobility platforms and protected tactical support vehicles which are being procured to enable MRAP type vehicles to carry out extended operations.
