Unmanned Vehicles and Systems
Seminar Background
This Intelligence Centre Seminar will examine the future for these platforms, both in technology and operations, provide analysis of recent events and future possibilities. Jane’s team of experts will highlight the failings, evaluate requirements and examine future trends, providing critical insight into opportunities for makers and users.
The environment for unmanned is promising; tighter budgets make these less expensive platforms more appealing as does lower manning and training costs and safe-guarding personnel. In the case of UMVs, the opportunity to use multipurpose or multimission warships as an alternative to dedicated ships, such as minehunters, could provide massive savings to stretched defence budgets. The expansion of the role of UAVs and the field demonstration of new roles for UGVs is likely to provide further impetus for all unmanned platforms.
The presentation will include a comprehensive question and answer session during which you will be able to explore and discuss the topic with Jane's analysts in greater detail.
