- The making of Iranian foreign policy: designating influential entities and their respective perceptions and their impact on Iran's foreign policy strategy (i.e. the supreme leader, the president, the IRGC, the parliament, the Foreign Ministry, the Guardian Council)
- The electoral promises of present candidates compared to the likely impact each could have on domestic issues e.g. the economy, political and social reform and the Iranian nuclear program.
- The electoral promises of present candidates compared to the likely impact each could have on international issues eg relations with the Arab (Sunni) world, outreach to the West, position on the Arab-Israeli conflict and potential collaboration with the West over the futures of Iraq and Afghanistan.
