Boeing has agreed to jointly develop advanced avionics with Elbit Systems of America in Brazil in a move designed to bolster its bid for the domestic F-X2 fighter programme.
Boeing announced on 5 March that the two companies had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in support of the co-operation, which will focus on Elbit's Brazilian subsidiary, AEL Sistemas.
AEL Sistemas will take part in the design, development and production of the large area display system that will be part of advanced cockpit systems offered for the F-15 family of aircraft, including the Boeing F-15SE Silent Eagle as well as the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
