Yugoslavians offered Internet anonymity
Anonymizer.com, an
Internet gateway which offers privacy to its users and which has an anonymous
email service, has stepped into the Balkan conflict to help shield the
identities of Serbia's online users, notably journalists, who might wish
to email to the West.
The Kosovo Privacy Project is a dedicated gateway through which all Yugoslavs
may send their email without any possibility of being monitored by others,
notably Serbia's security services. CEO Lance Cottrell hopes to "protect
citizens from reprisals by the authorities".
