RN-94

The Nurol Machinery and Industry Company of Turkey and Romarm of Romania have developed the RN-94 6 x 6 armoured personnel carrier (APC). The first prototype was completed in 1995.

The Turkish Land Forces Command has purchased five RN-94s for extensive trials, but as of mid-2000 no production orders had been placed.

The RN-94 is fully amphibious, propelled in the water by two water jets at a maximum speed of 8km/h. It can be fitted with a wide range of weapon systems. For trials, the RN-94 has been fitted with the Giat Industries Dragar turret armed with a 25mm cannon and 7.62mm machine gun and a one-person turret armed with 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine guns.

Standard equipment includes power steering and a central tyre pressure regulation system that allows the driver to adjust the tyre pressure to suit the terrain.
