A senior executive at one of China’s biggest naval shipyards is under investigation for alleged misconduct, China’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said in a statement on 16 June.
According to the CCDI, Sun Bo, general manager and president of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), is “suspected of committing serious violations of laws and regulations”.
Sun, the second highest-ranked official in CSIC after chairman Hu Wenming, has denied any wrongdoing.
