The US Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) has started a reform programme to streamline business processes and contracting through improved data analytics.
NAVSUP noted on 12 June that it had stood up a Project Management Office to co-ordinate enterprise actions, which are organised around a series of core and enabling efforts. Each element is led by one of NAVSUP's senior leaders, with teams focused on implementing key aspects of the reform programme, starting with two efforts: "digital accelerator" and "responsive contracting".
Through the digital accelerator process, NAVSUP is looking for a way to take the data it creates and put it into digital forms that can be better analysed.
