Elbit Systems of Australia has completed the delivery of XACT th65 clip-on thermal weapon sights to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) under the Land 125 Phase 3C Soldier Enhancement Version 2 - Lethality project, the company announced on 14 May.
Since delivery commenced in September 2016 nearly 4,800 of the thermal sights have been supplied to the Australian Army, with early indications suggesting good reliability of the systems delivered, said the company in a statement, adding that the maintenance phase of the Land 125 project will continue until mid-2020.
The contract to deliver the sights was signed in April 2016 and valued at approximately USD30 million.
