A new leasing financial model needs to be developed in order to address the evolution of threats and technology in the unmanned domain according to JetLease, a private aircraft leasing company.
Speaking to Jane’s at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International's (AUVSI's) 2018 Xponential exhibition held in Denver from 1–3 May, JetLease vice-president and managing partner for JetLease Unmanned Katy Glynn said the company is working to fill the gap between experimental drones and a demand from the market for faster procurement processes, but with tighter budgets.
According to Glynn, governments and commercial clients require a new lease solution, different from the one proposed for manned aircraft.
