Nigeria receives two more Mi-35M helicopters

(Nigerian Air Force)The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced on 30 April that it had received two new Mil Mi-35M attack helicopters.

The new helicopters arrived at Makurdi Air Base aboard an An-124-100 transport aircraft and will join the two that were delivered in December 2016.

Russian officials have said that Nigeria has ordered 12 Mi-35Ms.

NAF Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar said on 16 April that his service has ordered six new-build helicopters, but did not identify the type.
