Turkey’s Gendarmerie General Command (JGK) has received its first three T-129 attack helicopters, increasing its close air support capabilities, İsmail Demir, Undersecretary of the Turkish Defence Industries (SSM), tweeted on 19 April. They are part of a total of 18 T-129s the JGK will receive.
Delivery of the attack helicopters is part of a policy to increase the air capabilities of JGK air units as well as its intelligence gathering/reconnaissance and target capabilities.
