ST Engineering’s Electronics Arm Sets Up Subsidiary in Chongqing

Singapore, 18 April 2018 – Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering), today announced that its electronics arm, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) has set up a subsidiary, ST Electronics (Chongqing) Co. Ltd (ST Electronics Chongqing). The paid up capital for the new subsidiary established in the New Liangjiang Area, Chongqing, will be RMB 50m (approximately S$10m).

The subsidiary set-up will enable the Group’s electronics sector to provide better local support for its metro rail, intelligent transportation and intelligent building management projects in Chongqing, and other parts of China as it expands its presence there.

The set-up is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
