UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS), a subsidiary of the United Technologies Corporation (UTC), sees opportunities for strong expansion in the Asia Pacific in supporting regional air forces’ military aircraft.
The company – one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of aircraft parts and systems – has secured a strong market share in the region’s military aerospace ‘aftermarket’, which is characterised by the provision of spares, repairs, and product support, but future expansion is also being targeted, a company official told Jane’s .
Speaking before the Singapore Airshow 2018, Matthew Milas, general manager for UTAS’ military aftermarket business, said, “In the Asia Pacific we have been seeing healthy double-digit growth over the last five years.
