British defence aerospace propulsion manufacturer Rolls-Royce has announced new management appointments, with new presidents of both its Civil Aerospace and Defence divisions revealed.
The appointments were prompted by the departure of former Civil Aerospace president Eric Schulz, who was recruited to head Airbus’s commercial division in November 2017. Replacing Chris Young, who has served in Schulz’s role since November, is president of the company’s defence business, Chris Cholerton.
In turn, Cholerton’s role in defence will be filled by Tom Bell, who comes to Rolls-Royce from The Boeing Company, where he served as vice president of global sales and marketing for the company’s Defense, Space & Security division.
