The Harris Corporation has formally inaugurated the headquarters of its new Australian enterprise. Harris Defence Australia (HDA), which is located in Brisbane, was opened by Australia’s Minister for Defence Marise Payne on 29 January.
Harris said a focus of HDA’s activities in Australia and the wider region will drive sales of products including tactical radio systems; satellite systems; geospatial solutions intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems; and electronic warfare.
Opening the new headquarters, Payne said HDA will also enable Harris to support a number of Australian military programmes including a recently awarded communications contract and the 20,000 radios that Harris has supplied to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
