Court convicts man on terrorism offences in the UK's London

AT THE Old Bailey in the United Kingdom's capital London on 24 January, 50-year-old Gary Staples was convicted of seven counts of encouraging terrorism and one of disseminating a terrorist publication, the BBC reported. He was cleared of one count of encouraging terrorism. Staples created eight videos glorifying the Islamic State and distributed another created by the group's Al Hayat media arm. He was scheduled to be sentenced on 27 February.
