Details have emerged regarding Austria’s new WS4 Panther remotely operated weapon system (ROWS) at the International Armoured Vehicles 2018 conference in London.
Manufactured by ESL Advanced Information Technology (ESLAIT) GmbH, the WS4 system is intended to be the Austrian Army’s common ROWS.
Colonel Christoph Philipp, Staff Officer, Force Development Division, Austrian Ministry of Defence, revealed that it is currently being integrated by the Austrian Armed Forces Logistics Centre, with this effort scheduled for completion in 2019. Meanwhile, simulation, assembly, and documentation are being provided by ESLAIT.
