Ukraine’s UkrOboronProm has trumpeted the successful revival of the Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Enterprise in a statement issued on 16 January.
UkrOboronProm, the parent company of Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Enterprise, said capital investment in the company had restored several basic production assets and equipment at the facility, ranging from the regeneration of the plant’s utilities, as well as the purchase of new boilers and generators.
New machining and forging workshops were also launched, assisting in the production of spare parts for aircraft in service.
As a result of the regeneration of production capabilities, the plant has been able to undertake maintenance on seven Antonov An-72 and An-74 ‘Coaler’ aircraft for customers in Egypt, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
