QinetiQ announced on 19 December that it had teamed with UK companies Inzpire and Close Air Solutions to bid for the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MoD’s) Training and Simulation Systems Joint Fires Synthetic Training (JFST) programme.
According to a company statement, QinetiQ will lead the bid team and act as integrator, while Inzpire will provide the Training Management Team. Close Air Solutions will offer its accredited Joint Fires simulators and associated support to deliver “rich, immersive training outcomes”.
Paul Hearn, business development director for QinetiQ, said: “We have over nine years’ experience in delivering collective synthetic training, including our hugely successful work with Inzpire on the Distributed Synthetic Air Land Training [DSALT] capability at [Royal Air Force] RAF Waddington.
