Serbia is interested in using specialised military overhaul facilities in Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two constitutional and legal entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on a permanent basis, the Serbian defence minister has said. Serbia is implementing a policy to develop RS enterprises and its defence industry, Aleksandar Vulin said in the RS capital, Banja Luka, on 14 December during a two-day visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He revealed that a RSD63 million (EUR626,200) contract had been awarded to the Fabrika motora specijalne namjene (FMSN) special purpose engine factory in Pale to overhaul 10 Serbian Armed Forces (Vojska Srbije, VS) tank engines, while RSD280 million had been secured for the overhaul of jet engines at the Orao joint stock company (JSC) in Bijeljina.
