The company provided view details in its press release and did not respond to requests for comment.

The V-280 is part of the US Army’s Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) initiative, the science and technology (S&T) precursor to the Pentagon’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programme. Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky is also building its SB>1 Defiant for JMR-TD. The company did not respond to a request for comment by press time on 18 December.
