Police foil plot to kill Prime Minister in the United Kingdom's London

SKY News, citing unnamed security sources, reported on 6 December that police had foiled an Islamist militant suicide plot to kill Prime Minister Theresa May in Downing Street in the United Kingdom's capital London on an unspecified date, Sky News and Reuters reported. Two men - identified as 20-year-old Naai'mur Zakariyah Rahman from London and 21-year-old Mohammed Aqib Imran from Birmingham - were arrested in alleged connection to the plot on 29 November. The statement reported that the plot involved the use of an improvised explosive device (IED).
