Northrop Grumman has received a second request for information from the US Federal Trade Commission relating to its proposed USD9.2 billion merger with Orbital ATK, but stressed that it “continues to expect the acquisition to close in the first half of 2018”.
Northrop Grumman said in a statement on 6 December that the second request was “part of the regulatory process in connection with the FTC’s review”.
The announcement comes after Orbital ATK shareholders strongly approved the merger on 29 November, with news that holders of 99% of Orbital ATK stock who were present or represented at a special meeting of stockholders on 29 November backed the merger.
