Endeavor Robotics has selected Persistent Systems to provide Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) radios for the US Army’s newest unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
Under terms of the contract, Persistent Systems will provide 2,400 of its Wave Relay MANET MPU5 radios to equip 1,200 Man-Transportable Robotic System Increment IIs (MTRS Inc IIs) with secure and long-range data communications.
In September 2017 Endeavor was awarded the MTRS Inc II contract to develop and produce the UGV. Low rate initial production is expected to occur in mid-2018 with the first MTRS Inc II deliveries to begin in 2019 and continue for five to six years.
